Classic Bechamel Sauce

5 Tbsp. unsalted butter
¼ cup flour
4 cups milk
1-2 tsp. salt, to taste
½ tsp. The Spice Hunter Ground NutmegIn a large saucepan, melt the butter. Stir in the flour and cook for 5 minutes. Add the milk while whisking vigorously to ensure there are no lumps in the sauce. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the salt and nutmeg.
