Onion Cornbread with Cheddar Cheese

2 cups buttermilk
1 (15 oz.) can cream-style corn
1½ cups yellow cornmeal
¾ cup all purpose flour
1 small onion, diced
½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
2 Tbsp. sugar
1½ tsp. baking powder
1½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. The Spice Hunter Crushed Red Chile Pepper
¼ tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. The Spice Hunter Chopped Chives

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Pour into an 8-inch square baking dish, bake at 450°F for 25 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!
