Peppermint Simple Syrup
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cup crush up candy canes
Place all ingredients in small saucepan on medium heat. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes while stirring to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat and let cool. Strain into air-tight glass container and keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
